The 52 winners of the first call for “Equipment of Excellence” proposals were revealed on Thursday 20 January 2011 by Valérie Pécresse, Minister for Higher Education and Research, and René Ricol, General Commissioner for Investment. With a total budget of one billion euro, this call for proposals will enable French laboratories to acquire leading-edge scientific equipment for carrying out research work of top international level, aimed at increasing knowledge and innovation.
ParisTech member colleges are involved in 14 of the 52 winning proposals selected. This represents a quarter of the applications.
They play a significant role in 8 projects located in Ile de France (Paris region), the others being either national or involving provincial centres.
The entire ParisTech community is delighted with these results, which will lead to new synergy in favour of research, education and innovation.
