Telecom ParisTech, the leading French engineering Grande École in the area of information technology, now trains its graduates in innovation and entrepreneurship in a now digital world. This is incorporated in all business areas.
A pioneer since its foundation in 1878, Telecom ParisTech invented the word telecommunications and is continuously innovating, designing a high-level à la carte education:
- early commitment in terms of social access, experiences and international partnerships
- implementation of project-based teaching in relation to research and entrepreneurship
- development of an effective incubator which became the ParisTech incubator
Its excellent teaching and research cover all the disciplines of information and communication science and technology: from component physics to the social sciences, and from networks to the processing of multi-media data.
Rated A+ by HCERES (Evaluation Agency for Research and Higher Education), Telecom ParisTech's research has a remarkable profile on the European scientific stage. It is developing expertise in 6 strategic areas - big data, very large networks and systems (the Internet of Things, Smart Grid, and Cloud), digital confidence (security, safety and risks), real-time-virtual Interactions, large-scale modelling, and an interdisciplinary approach to innovation - and addressing the major challenges of the digital world. Telecom ParisTech is also preparing a doctoral programme.
